When the Law is Fair
I deserved my punishment. That is why I was set to plead guilty to public jaywalking. I knew that I had done that heinous act of walking across the street on an unmarked area. I threw myself before the mercy of the court, hopefully to get a lighter sentence. The court records that I wept aloud as the judge handed down his sentence. I was to serve no more than 1 hour of community service at the local YMCA. I thought that it was a rather fortunate ruling, since I workout there every day. I guess jay walking isn’t such a big deal.
