When We Stop Withholding Taxes We Stop The Rewards For Over Payment
Sometime between January and April of each year I hear people start to talk about how much money they are getting back from their income tax. It is almost like they are being rewarded for having overpaid what they owed each month. To them the federal income tax system is an extra pay check once a month. If we were to Stop withholding taxes and force them to come up with the money in April they would start to feel differently about the fact that they are working over a quarter of the year just to come up with their income taxes.
