Add URL to Directories: Mistakes to Avoid
Don’t be in a hurry to click that add URL button! Read the submission guidelines first. Free directories always have rules on what sites they will accept. Usually, the following are not welcome: sites under construction, mirror sites, sites that contain illegal material or pornography, sites that re-direct to other pages, and pages that have broken images and links. In short, make sure your web home is decent, legal and presentable before you submit it. Further, don’t submit it to more than one category; pick the best one. Once you add a URL, don’t resubmit it. The guidelines should tell you the approximate time it takes for them to approve a submission.
