A Bank CEO Attends an Alcohol Testing Workshop

Mr. Rothchild was the president and CEO of a branch of banks in one of the Midwestern states.  Not unlike other CEOs in the industry, he was concerned about the alarming increase in alcohol related problems and issues by employees.  To educate himself on the topic, Mr. Rothchild attended a “C-level” workshop about alcohol testing.  After listening to all of the presentations, Mr. Rothchild was convinced that an alcohol testing program in all of the bank branches would be the way to go.  The only issues for which he was undecided was whether his testing programs would make use of a blood alcohol testing methodology or a urine alcohol testing protocol.  This issue, Mr. Rothchild decided, would resolve itself when he presented his testing plan to all of the bank managers.
