Maximizing my 401K investments
Saving for investment and retirement is a subject that rarely gets discussed. Recently my wife and I decided that it was time to assess out current plans for the future. In the past we have relied on our employer sponsored plans to invest for retirement. I have become more interested in a hands on approach as a result of doing my own research and would like to get involved in the decision making process. Under a managed funds arrangement this is left to the management team. I have started to investigate the options for setting up a separate structure for my 401K investments. This will allow me the discretion to buy and sell more often and to add to the amount as and when I desire. The aim is to reach retirement age earlier.
