Dancing salsa in tune and in timing with the salsa music is important to give the dance better presentation and grace. The salsa music is commonly in four beats in every measure time of signature. The dancers will usually use two measures from the salsa music in order to complete a cycle of the dance in salsa. Each measure is directed to the left and right side of the body.
